Pay Rate: $29-$36/hour

Ultimate Staffing is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Human Resources Specialist to support a wide range of Human Resources initiatives, employee programs, and administrative functions. This role serves as a key point of contact for employees, supervisors, and leadership while supporting compliance, employee relations, benefits administration, recruitment, onboarding, and Talent & Culture programs.

The Talent and Culture Specialist will be responsible for delivering exceptional employee support, maintaining accurate records, coordinating HR processes, supporting recruitment and onboarding efforts, and ensuring compliance with employment laws and company policies. Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with Talent & Culture policies, procedures, and programs, including FMLA, CT Paid Leave, Workers' Compensation, and leave administration activities.
  • Serve as a liaison with payroll providers, benefits vendors, and other external partners as needed.
  • Provide support and guidance related to company policies, procedures, and Talent & Culture programs.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to maintain employee data and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Respond to employee requests related to benefits, forms management, employee files, and vendor inquiries.
  • Maintain and update employee records to ensure accurate processing of administrative and payroll-related changes.
  • Coordinate and track employee leave activities, including documentation, communication, and compliance requirements.
  • Support full-cycle recruitment activities, including sourcing, interviewing, and coordinating hiring processes.
  • Develop and maintain recruiting pipelines through colleges, technical schools, career events, and other sourcing channels.
  • Partner with supervisors and managers to support staffing needs and ensure consistent recruiting practices.
  • Coordinate onboarding activities and help deliver a positive new hire experience.
  • Administer benefits-related processes, including enrollments, terminations, and employee support requests.
  • Support employee relations activities and provide customer-focused HR assistance.
  • Assist with job descriptions, position evaluations, classifications, compensation reviews, and policy administration.
  • Support HR projects and initiatives, including open enrollment, performance management processes, training programs, and employee communications.
  • Assist with safety-related programs, including injury tracking, return-to-work coordination, and related reporting.

Qualifications

  • Experience supporting Human Resources, Talent & Culture, employee relations, or related administrative functions.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required
  • Knowledge of HR compliance requirements, leave administration, benefits processes, and employment practices.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to support multiple stakeholders and priorities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to coordinate multiple projects, deadlines, and activities.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and support a variety of HR initiatives.
  • Experience developing or improving HR processes, procedures, and documentation preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and internet-based applications.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy, quality, and follow-through.
